Analyse
I like this piece because she used a cross for composition and perspective to draw your eyes in.
I think the meaning of this piece is to be aware of your surroundings also not to forget and abandon your past
When I look at this piece I feel cold and abandoned because the image is dark and cold.
This is an effective image because they have used the camera settings effectively. It is under exposed because it gives us a scary feeling
I like the composition of the piece because she has used perspective.
I think she used black and white to make the picture look more older and more abandoned.

I like this piece because the picture it is symmetrical and also the image has been reflected. The picture is clean and shiny.
I think the meaning of this piece is to show the forms and structures of spaces, as well as their details. She examines the difference between intention and actual use of the buildings.
When I look at this piece I think this place has been well managed and there are lots of happy memories in this place
The pictured is over exposed because there is a lot of light.

Test Shoots
I will Take Pictures of the Atrium in stretfordhigh school.
The lighting i will use is depth of filed, rule of thirds and use of camera settings effectively.
I will use a IPhone 6s or a Cannon Camera for photographs.
To take these pictures, i will bend down and try to get a worms eye view. Also try to do other cameras settings and use them more effectively.

Best Picture
This is my best picture because i like how the leading lines draw your eye in. Also on the stairs you can see the yellow colour which is being reflected. i would change the depth of field and make it more low, more like out of focus.
Black and White
These are my best pictures which I choose to be in black and white. The camera settings have been used perfectly in these pictures for e.g Depth of field, low aperture, and out of focus.
Black and White: High Contrast
I have changed the contrast to make it look more like Berenice Abott's work.
I combined ideas from the two artist to create a picture of my own. The result is below. Here i have flipped my manipulated image four times to create a symmetrical image. At first i just did it twice like the image above but i decided to flip it four times as it looked more effective. I will continue to experiment with this process. I made my images black and white like Berenice Abott.
Symmetrical Edit

Didsbury Mosque
This mosque is inprotant to me because it is the holy place of my religion and it is where i learn Arabic
Edited: Cropped, black and white
I cropped this photo so that it looked like it was taken at the front. Also I added on black and white so it looked more like Berenice Abotts work.
Edited: Painting
Here I have changed the edit to make it look like it was painting and more similar to Margaret Stratton's work.
Ducklink
Here i have changed the image filter to black and white.
I then turned the contrast up.
I created this picture to create a pattern of Islam. I used different Islamic symbolic colours on each of these photographs.
I edited this picture so that the lines can be the same
This time I changed the colours.
I have changed the lines so I can make it more parrarel
St Johns Church
Plan for test - April 27th March
I am going to take pictures of a Hindu temple
Work completed in controlled 10 hour exam
I used a diamond shape because a diamond is a shape used in many mosques as a pattern around the Islam gods name. Here is an example below.
I have done a trail of different religions and took pictures of there religious buildings for e.g Mosque and church. I have then cropped them into shapes that are holy with the religion and then changed the colors to there holy spirited colours. I did nine of these in total and then explained what the colours mean. Examples, I uses Islamic shapes such as diamonds
I have added background colours to the pictures above.
I think this is a good shoot because it shows some information about the two religions and what there holy colours are. They also show the religious shapes for both both religions.

Best photo
This is my best photo because I like how the spire stands out and is on focus.
Worst photo
This is my worst picture because the trees are in the way and in the bottom right there is an unwanted branch
High Contrast
Here i have changed the contrast high.
Best
These are my ten best photos.
Evaluation
I have chosen Architecture for my exam. I have studied Margaret Stratton and different Architecture photographers and artists at the start of the project. I really like the photographs and artists work and the way they take their pictures and I found the work very interesting. I was drawn to the ideas and meaning behind the message of the photographs and how strong they are. I decided to do a religious theme of different religions and then take pictures of the holy place and use shapes and colours to create a religious piece. I used colours that are familiar with the religion. I use the pictures and then turn them into black and white and also add a high contrast. I use the colour green often as this is familiar in all religions and have different meanings to them. I have also made a number of different shapes for each religion.I have included work from other artist and also said why i like this work so it shows that i am familiar with how to do it. Margaret Stratton takes pictures of the inside of specific churches and i have done the outside.
